The Ben the Illustrator Collection is a range of fabrics and fabric products created by Ben and Fiona O’Brien. Designed, printed and hand-made in the UK, every product is manufactured using unlimited volumes of colour and love.

Cushions and Lighting - The Ben the Illustrator Collection is a range of fabrics and fabric products I have created working alongside my wife and business partner Fiona. Designed, printed and hand-made in the UK, every product is manufactured using unlimited volumes of colour and love. Fiona and I have wanted to start a venture to this extent for some time, this year everything clicked into place and we had the opportunity to make it all happen.
I have always taken great inspiration from nature and the world around us, and this new business is no different, I'm very much bringing the outside in, encapsulating my inspiration in surface pattern designs full of colour and joy. I believe that 'good places make people feel good', whether you’re on the coast watching birds, or on the couch watching TV. Fiona’s passions lie in interior and product design; with an eye for style and a heart for the home, Fiona has perfectly developed my artwork into a range of products that will add an exclamation mark to any home.
Together we have designed everything including the branding, online store, promotional materials, packaging and of course the patterned fabrics, we also art-directed the photoshoot together and we're working very closely with our colleagues at Our Green Room in Wiltshire on the product manufacture. It has been a huge learning experience getting this project to launch and we have been inspired and enriched every day along the way.

A long-term ad campaign for Smart Cars across Europe. The illustrations were used for 'alternative print media' to appeal to a younger, fashionable audience, at car shows and lifestyle events.
